Genesis 25:1-6 Sons of Abraham & Keturah

1 Abraham again took a wife, and her name was Keturah. 2 And she bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. 3 Jokshan begot Sheba and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, Letushim, and Leummim. 4 And the sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah. 5 And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac. 6 But Abraham gave gifts to the sons of the concubines which Abraham had; and while he was still living he sent them eastward, away from Isaac his son, to the country of the east. Facts revealed:

Y      Abraham took another wife, Keturah, after the death of Sarah.

Y      Keturah was the mother of six sons and grandmother of eight named in the Scriptures to whom Abraham gave gifts and sent to the east before his death. They went to dwell in the Arabian Peninsula with Ishmael who had moved there when he and Hagar had been sent away earlier; and Ishmael dwelt in the Wilderness of Paran, which is in the mountains of Shur. [Genesis 21:8-21, and Genesis 25:18]

Y      The sons of Keturah lived around Ishmael the son of Hagar because at least one of them was named when Joseph was sold by his brothers in the story of [Genesis 37:23-36], as it was a company of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead on their way to Egypt bearing spices, balm, and Myrrh. The Midianite traders passed by so the brothers sold him to the Ishmaelites and when they arrived in Egypt the Midianites sold him to Potiphar. Obviously the Ishmaelites and the Midianites were traveling together to do business in Egypt.

Ishmael was the son of Abraham and Hagar, while Midian was the son of Abraham and Keturah. Midian is important also because it was to the priest of Midian that Moses came when he fled from Egypt and it was from there that God sent him back after 40 years to bring Israel to the Mount Horeb, also in the land of Midian, to receive His Laws when He brought them out of Egypt on their way to the Promised Land.

Sheba, another son of Abraham and Keturah, is important in the fact that the Queen of Sheba came to visit Solomon from the end of the earth. This Sheba wound up in the south end of the Arabian Peninsula. It is also this Sheba challenges the Russian invasion of Israel in the Last Days while the Sheba from Ham in Africa is part of the invasion.

The Sheba descended from Ham is located in the middle of Africa near the east coast which can not be considered the end of the earth; while the Sheba descended from Abraham was at the south end of the Arabian Peninsula and to go any farther south you will be in the water of the Arabian Sea which could indeed be called the end of the earth.
